Call to switchboard, directly connect to the extension

As many of you, I have a few contacts, whose phone number coming with extension numbers. For example, one of them is 987-654-3218 EXT 898. How do you save such kind of contact numbers onto your smartphone? Here is what I did:     (1) putting switchboard number, 987-654-3218, in the normal 'phone' spot.     (2) putting the extension number, 898, at the end of the contact's name.

Each time, before I make a call, I first memorize the extension number 898. Then press the "dial" button. After connected, listening to an out-going message, and then key in 898. Are you doing the same, as I did? A few days ago, a beautiful lady sent an email telling me her business phone number, with extension, and also told me a quick and easy way to save it in my smartphone. Squeezing the switchboard number and extension number all together, separated by a comma, into the 'phone' spot. Using my above example, it is now changed to:

That's it. One key stroke, get you connected.

PS：This comma instructs a "pause" command. It is said, that this 'function' comes with phones in a very earlier day. You may go back to check its history out, which may leads to a piece of romance， which was triggered by a phone and this 'pause' :-). You never know.
